Laparoscopic Surgery
Laparoscopic surgery, also known as minimally invasive surgery, is a type of surgical procedure that is performed using small incisions and specialized instruments, rather than a large open incision. Laparoscopic surgery is commonly used to diagnose and treat a variety of conditions that affect the female reproductive system, including infertility, endometriosis, and fibroids.
A laparoscopic procedure for females typically involves the insertion of a laparoscope (a thin, lighted tube with a camera) through a small incision in the belly button. The camera projects images of the inside of the abdomen onto a monitor, allowing the surgeon to see the internal organs. Additional small incisions are made to insert other instruments, such as scissors or forceps, to perform the surgery.
Laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy
This is a surgical procedure that involves removing cysts on the ovaries.
Laparoscopic myomectomy
This is a surgical procedure that involves removing fibroids from the uterus.
Laparoscopic ovarian drilling
This procedure is done to treat Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy (TLH)
It is an operation to remove the uterus (womb) and cervix with the aid of a small operating telescope, called a laparoscope. The laparoscope is inserted into the abdominal wall through a small incision and allows the doctor to examine the pelvis/abdomen.The operation is usually performed under a general anaesthetic but various anaesthetic techniques are possible. The operation usually takes about 90 minutes.
Diagnostic laprohysteroscopy
It is done to evaluate the outside portion of the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, and internal pelvic area Always the diagnostic laparoscopy is recommended or done, and the same is used to look inside the uterus also.
This allows a surgeon to view the inside of the body without major trauma to the patient. Laparoscopy is known as minimally invasive surgery. It allows for shorter hospital stays, faster recovery, less pain, and smaller scars than traditional (open) surgery
DHL – Chromopertubation
It is the instillation of dye through the fallopian tubes during a laparoscopy. Gynecological laparoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that allows doctors to view the pelvic and abdominal cavities.
